The sixty-ninth MeetUp of the Machine Learning Singapore Group, was titled : “Robots : Reasoning and Acting” - and was a themed event, partly inspired by the recent open-sourcing of Menlo AI’s Asimov Robot, and partly due to the explosive interest in World Models generally (including JEPA).

Other Presentations

The MeetUp also featured Yip Jia Qi, who gave a very entertaining and informative talk:

  • “Putting AI Agents into Humanoid Robots”:
    • Since Jia Qi last talked at our meetup in 2023, he has been working at Menlo Research - who have recently open-sourced the Asimov humanoid robot (https://asimov.inc/diy-kit). In his talk, Jia Qi talked about what has already been accomplished, and outlined Menlo’s (even more ambitious) goals.
