DSTA BrainHack event - Invited Talk

Presentation
Authors

As part of its recruitment efforts aimed at (advanced) High School students and undergraduates, Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) held a large-scale multi-day “BrainHack” hackathon event. I was proud to be an invited speaker - since it gave me the opportunity to pitch “Anyone Can Cook (AI version)” to participants in DSTA’s Hackathon(s), which were drawn from both High Schools and Undergraduate courses.

My Presentation

My talk was titled “Anyone Can Cook (AI version)”, and drew an analogy with the (2007) film Ratatouille! It had the following outline :

  • A bit about the movie

    • one minor spoiler!
  • Technical content

  • “Anyone can Cook!”

  • Wrap-up & QR-code

Acknowledgements

Many thanks to the DSTA BrainHack team for inviting me to talk - it was an excellent opportunity to try to communicate the positive possibilities of rolling ones sleeves up, and getting involved in AI.
