Android SDK on 64-bit fedora (openjdk)

Authors

Requirement : Get the 32-bit Android SDK to work on a 64-bit Fedora machine (Fedora 11 tested below), using the standard openjdk rather than Sun Java. No eclipse required, since development will be done using Titanium.

32-bit libraries are required. To clear out existing libraries (only if you know you haven't got anything else dependent on 32-bitness) :

yum remove *.i586

The following (plus the dependencies it pulls in) seems to be the minimum set required :

yum install \
 libX11.i586 mesa-libGL.i586 SDL.i586 \
 ncurses-libs.i586 libstdc++.i586 \
 esound-libs.i586 zlib.i686

After doing that, confirm that the emulator (./tools/emulator) works.

For interest's sake, the following is the complete, working 32-bit set pulled in :

libX11-1.2.2-1.fc11.i586
mesa-dri-drivers-7.6-0.1.fc11.i586
